Mossyard beach is a local secret, it's also an award winning beach for Scotland as nominated by the Marine Conservation Societ, which awards beaches for there excellent water qualities. Mossyard is just a few minutes drive from Creetown. 

 The beach itself has a big cove which is great for water sports buffs and boating enthusiasts and a shallow cove that connects to a lovely sand beach, which when the tide is in offers a picture postcode setting for a great family day experience.

The water gently graduates from the shore making it ideal for paddling and for those who want to take a dip. Plenty of stunning coastal walks and rockpools also feature giving interest to those who like to investigate such habitats, sea birds, buzzards herons , sea otters and cormorants are also to be spotted in the area .
